About

Soggiorno Primavera

Soggiorno Primavera is a small, recently refurbished bed & breakfast on Via Peri, in Florence's San Lorenzo district. It's a 5-minute walk (450 metres) from Stazione Leopolda and roughly 20 minutes on foot from the Galleria dell'Accademia. The property offers free Wi-Fi throughout, so you can plan your day's sightseeing without hunting for a café signal.

The rooms are simple but soundproofed, with flat-screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities, and free toiletries. There's a shared kitchen corner with a microwave and fridge, plus luggage storage if you arrive before check-in. Housekeeping keeps everything tidy, and the front desk is staffed during the day. What works, what to weigh

Strengths

5 reasons to book
  • Excellent value for money — Rooms from £35 per night in a city where similar proximity to the centre usually costs far more. Several guests specifically praised the quality/price ratio.
  • Prime location near the station — A 5-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella station and 450 metres from Stazione Leopolda, making it ideal for day trips and easy arrivals by train. The city centre is roughly a 15-minute walk.
  • Friendly, helpful staff — The team, including Massimo and his wife, get consistent praise for going out of their way – carrying heavy bags, giving directions, and accommodating late check-ins.
  • Clean and quiet rooms — Guests describe the rooms as clean, quiet, and comfortable, with soundproofing listed as an amenity. The shared bathrooms were also noted as being kept clean.
  • Self-catering conveniences — A shared microwave, fridge, and hot water jug, plus in-room tea and coffee facilities, let you prepare simple meals – a real money-saver in a tourist city.

Worth weighing

5 to weigh
  • Shared bathrooms on some room types — The triple and quadruple rooms (and the economy quadruple) have shared bathroom access, which not all guests may expect. Reviewers note there are two shared bathrooms to reduce queuing.
  • No pets allowed — If you're travelling with a dog or cat, this property won't work – the policy is strict.
  • Limited check-in window — Check-in is only between 15:00 and 20:00. Late arrivals can be accommodated if you inform them, but you must plan ahead.
  • No on-site parking — There's no private parking. Street parking costs €1.50 per hour between 8am and 8pm, which can add up if you're driving.
  • Modest service ratings — While guest reviews are overwhelmingly positive, the service rating sits at 5.9 and value at 5.8 – reflecting a no-frills B&B experience rather than a full-service hotel.

“The room was clean and the breakfast buffet was nice. I'd be surprised if another Florence hotel offers this level of facilities and proximity to the centre (15 minutes' walk, max) at the same price. If you're driving, you'll need to pay €1.50 per hour on the street between 8am and 8pm. Even so, it's still good value.”

“The room and staff were lovely, but we had to share the bathroom.”

A dependable, wallet-friendly base in Florence for travellers who prioritise location and cleanliness over in-room en-suites.
